The action gets underway on Saturday evening when Armagh welcome Donegal to the Athletic grounds. Verdict: Armagh to win, in a game with huge importance.

Galway host fourth place Monaghan to Salthill Saturday at the early time of 12:45. Monaghan will be hoping to build on their win against Roscommon, but with a trip to the ever so windy Salthill, a tough game is on the cards. Galway still remain without many of their regulars, but they are still having a decent league campaign under Padraic Joyce. The reigning league champions, Kerry, make the long journey up to Omagh with huge pressure on Tyrone after last weekends poor display against Mayo. Kerry are tipping away nicely after their narrow win last Saturday. There is huge pressure on Tyrone as they sit in last position. Its a bit of a mystery as why these performances of late are so bad as there is surely something not right in the county. On paper a full forward line of Canavan, Mc Shane and Mc Curry sounds extremely promising, this has yet to be the case. Kerry will fancy their chances in a bid to cement their title charge although there is sure to be a kick in this Tyrone side. This game will be shown live on TG4 at 12.45. Verdict: Tyrone to upset the odds and get a much needed win on the boards.

Sunday at 2.45 will see Connacht rivals, Roscommon and Mayo go head to head in a battle at he top of the table. Roscommon suffered a narrow defeat against Monaghan last weekend while Mayo displayed a solid performance in their win over Tyrone. Its a large possibility both of these sides could meet in the league final while also meeting each other the following week in the Connacht championship. This game this weekend is sure to be a cagey affair as its expected to be close. Mayo’s forwards are motoring well this season as is Roscommon’s defence who seem to be much improved under Davy Burke.
